After all those long school days, I can finally take a deep breath with my Holiday. Summer has arrived, bringing that blissful feeling students love. Books now rest quietly on the desk. Pens and rulers no longer follow me around for endless notes and sketches.
Each moment feels like a small reward. Holiday is a chance to relax and enjoy the things I once set aside during nine months of study.
I began my first summer morning with a book by Nguyễn Nhật Ánh, one of my favorite authors. The book is small yet carries deep emotions. As I read, I feel as if I have stepped into the story and become one of the characters.
Today it rains. Tiny droplets fall endlessly, showing no sign of stopping. I watch the rain and feel the cool freshness on every branch and blade of grass. In that moment, I realize no day passes in vain. I live with purpose. I live because I value every single moment of life.
No hesitation, no worries. There is only the comfort of knowing my parents are there—to listen, care, and love me unconditionally.
Summer does not pass too quickly, yet I will not let myself rest for long. My dream of one day setting foot in Australia keeps me moving forward. I work to become a stronger and happier version of myself.
Hello, Summer. Our vacation this year feels a little different from the carefree days of elementary school. Yet my heart still longs for you, just the same.
